Mom I'm Bored!

Here are some great ideas to help kill the boredom and spend a little time with the children

Family Night Crafts
Set one day aside each week for a family night. You can set a theme for the night to make it extra special. The kids can alternate picking out the theme for the night and they are responsible for setting everything up. A couple of theme ideas are Movie Night, Game Night and Story Night. Be creative. It's sure to be a lot of fun!  One of the easiest ways to cut boredom for the kids is letting their creativity come out. Crafts keeps their minds and hands busy. Keep a box of craft supplies like construction paper, glue, beads, glitter, etc. and let their imaginations run wild. Of course you will want to make sure they are set up somewhere that the pickup will be easy.

A Day Out Read a Book
All kids LOVE getting out of the house. Getting out to do things does not have to be expensive. Plan a family picnic at a local park or if you have one in your area take them to the zoo. Most zoos have family yearly passes that are cheaper than the admission of 2 adults. Make sure to bring a packed lunch. That will cut the cost of eating at one of the snack bars.
